As part of the actual implementation steps for drilling a fresh water well in “Amal Nazeh” Camp, located in the middle of the Gaza Strip, Al-Manal Association for Rural Women’s Development today participated in a field visit to inspect the site where the well will be drilled, in the presence of representatives from Al-Aqsa Association – Yemen, Ghazi Destek Foundation, and the Palestinian Water Authority.
During the visit, the site was evaluated from technical and environmental aspects to ensure its readiness to start drilling operations, which are scheduled to begin soon, God willing. This is part of ongoing efforts to provide safe and clean water sources for the camp residents.
This project responds to the urgent needs of the camp’s residents, who live under difficult humanitarian conditions due to deteriorating infrastructure, and represents an important step toward improving the health and environmental situation in the area.
Al-Manal Association affirms its commitment to empowering the local community and values the effective partnership with the supporting and implementing bodies of this important humanitarian project.

]]>Al-Manal Association for Rural Women’s Development has signed a partnership agreement with the French organization Super Novae to implement the project:
“Supply Safe Drinking Water to IDP Camps in the Middle Governorate of Gaza Strip.”
This agreement comes as part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of displaced and marginalized families in the Gaza Strip, by distributing safe drinking water to IDP camps and the most vulnerable households—particularly those who lack support from other organizations and have no access to nearby, safe water sources.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Al-Manal Association by Mr. Mahmoud Fouad Musabeh, Executive Director, and on behalf of Super Novae by Dr. Loai Naser, Country Director.
This partnership reaffirms the shared commitment of both parties to support the most vulnerable communities and work together to meet their basic needs amid the difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Ahmed Abu Holi, Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Head of the Refugee Affairs Department, made a phone call to Al-Manal Association for the Development of Rural Women to inquire about the conditions of residents in Deir Al-Balah following the recent wave of displacement, and to follow up on the association’s efforts in providing support and assistance to affected families.
During the call, Dr. Abu Holi extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late activist Mona Bkheit, one of the association’s prominent members and a leading feminist figure in Gaza. He praised her national role and active contributions to women’s and refugee issues.
Dr. Abu Holi also expressed his full solidarity with the people of Deir Al-Balah, affirming his support for them in light of the severe destruction caused by the aggression. He offered condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for a speedy recovery for the wounded and mercy for the souls of the fallen.

As part of the Learning and Psychosocial Recovery Units Project for children affected by the war on the Gaza Strip, funded by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), and within the efforts of Al-Manal Association for the Development of Rural Women to provide an integrated educational and health environment for children, comprehensive health kits were distributed to the children enrolled in the project.
These kits were generously funded by the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) and distributed within the framework of integrating educational, psychological, and health activities adopted by the association to ensure meeting the multiple needs of children affected by the war.
The kits arrived at a critical time when families suffer from the shortage of health supplies and the difficulty of accessing them. They helped meet essential needs and restored a sense of reassurance and dignity to the children and their families amid the harsh conditions.
Children and their families expressed immense joy and deep gratitude to PCRF, AFSC, and Al-Manal Association, which continues to stand by their side with all its efforts for a better future.

The official visit aimed to review the progress of work and ongoing projects within the association and to follow up on the latest developments regarding the joint agreement between the two parties.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the project to establish desalination plants in various areas of the Gaza Strip, particularly the planned project in Deir Al-Balah. Mr. Mahmoud Musabeh, the association’s director, emphasized the urgent need of the city’s residents for such a vital project and affirmed the association’s readiness to provide all necessary facilities to ensure its success.
