Introduction:
The Manal Association for Rural Women’s Development is a non-profit Palestinian civil society organization established in 1994 in Deir al-Balah City, with its headquarters in the Middle Governorate of the Gaza Strip. The association aims to support and empower the Palestinian community across all its segments, with a focus on vulnerable groups, including rural women, children, and marginalized families. It is officially registered with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior under registration number 7200 since 2000.
The organization has received a grant to implement a project aimed at improving economic opportunities and sustainable living for the most vulnerable groups in the Gaza Strip.

Project Overview:
In light of the current situation in Gaza due to the ongoing war and the suffocating blockade, the project aims to improve the economic and social conditions of the most vulnerable families in the Deir al-Balah Governorate. The project will focus on providing economic support through funding small projects and offering training that aligns with current circumstances. Efforts will be directed toward addressing the needs of the groups most affected by the war, such as rural women, unemployed youth, and low-income families.

Therefore, the Manal Association for Rural Women’s Development announces the need for a Project Coordinator (1) to follow up on the implementation of the project’s components and ensure the achievement of the specified goals, with the following details:

  • Job Title: Project Coordinator
  • Employment Duration: 12 months, renewable as needed
  • Direct Supervisor: Project Manager
  • Location: Middle Governorate

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Manage the project team, assign tasks and responsibilities, and ensure results are achieved.
  2. Implement the project agreement in accordance with approved terms and amounts.
  3. Develop effective plans, including monitoring and evaluation (MEAL), media documentation plans, expenditure plans, procurement plans, activity plans, field visit plans, etc.
  4. Effectively implement activities according to time, scope, and resource constraints.
  5. Continuously monitor and evaluate all phases of the project and extract lessons learned.
  6. Coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
  7. Review financial claims.
  8. Prepare price quotes and participate in technical committees and tenders.
  9. Review and update work templates based on project requirements.
  10. Prepare and coordinate media content with stakeholders.
  11. Participate in preparing necessary analyses as required by the project (risks, sustainability, complaints, gender roles, etc.).
  12. Organize and execute consultative meetings with relevant parties and institutions.
  13. Review and analyze data.
  14. Prepare and write monthly, periodic, and final reports.
  15. Design and conduct needs assessment studies.
  16. Write success stories and case studies and prepare minutes of meetings effectively.
  17. Manage the process of finalizing lists of beneficiary families from the nomination phase to the implementation phase in accordance with project standards.
  18. Conduct field follow-up visits with the project team to ensure activities are progressing as planned.
  19. Receive and review monthly reports and visit plans from the project team.
  20. Organize training sessions for the project team on key work topics.
  21. Manage the lessons learned sessions for the project.
  22. Deliver the project with an archived electronic copy.
  23. Represent the organization appropriately with partners and beneficiaries.
  24. Implement the organization’s policies (protection, child protection, data protection, complaints policy, etc.) in the activities carried out.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Engineering, Business Administration, or any related field from a recognized university.
  2. At least 3-5 years of experience in project coordination.
  3. At least one year of experience working on emergency projects.
  4. Ability to work during emergencies and make quick, sound decisions to protect staff and beneficiaries.
  5. Ability to develop alternative plans for activity implementation within a protection framework.
  6. Completion of relevant training that supports the role.
  7. A continuous desire for self-development and staying updated with related training.
  8. Flexibility in rotating between different components of the project.
  9. Proficiency in computer programs, especially Microsoft Office, MS Project, AutoCAD.
  10. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  11. Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, teamwork, and adherence to safety and health standards both within and outside the organization’s premises.
  12. Applicants must be at least 29 years old.

As part of the cooperation agreement between Al-Manal Association for Rural Women’s Development and the Saudi Center for Culture and Development, the association has received six truckloads of medical supplies, provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to enhance healthcare services and support humanitarian efforts in affected areas.

In coordination with the relevant authorities, the association has distributed these supplies to medical centers, health points, municipalities, and local community organizations, ensuring they reach the most vulnerable populations. This initiative aims to alleviate suffering and improve healthcare services amid the current challenging circumstances.

Al-Manal Association for Rural Women’s Development expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for this generous humanitarian initiative. The association also commended the Saudi Center for Culture and Development for its role in supporting and strengthening partnerships that serve the Palestinian community.
