Between letters, colors, and stories, moments of joy multiply, as children display a remarkable determination to learn and a genuine desire to build a better future—reflecting the hope that still lives in their hearts. What makes these moments even more special is the spirit of interaction and vitality fostered by the facilitators, who work with dedication and patience to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for every child.
The Al-Manal team emphasizes that the daily scenes inside these units reveal positive transformations in children’s behavior and self-confidence. They stress that the credit goes to the facilitators, who embrace the children with parental warmth and give them the chance to regain the childhood stolen from them by crises.
This project is made possible through the generous support of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), which shares Al-Manal’s belief that every child deserves a safe environment and equal opportunities to learn and grow. Together, they have turned these units into small spaces with an enormous impact.
Here, in the heart of Gaza, children prove every day that the future begins with a written letter, a drawn color, and a smile that refuses to fade.
We leave you with glimpses of the children’s joy and determination inside the learning and psychosocial support units ![]()

]]>Today, the Al-Manal Association for Rural Women Development completed the drilling of a freshwater well in the “Amal Nazih” camp in central Gaza, with generous funding from Al-Aqsa Association – Yemen, responding to the urgent humanitarian need to provide safe and suitable drinking water for displaced families.
This achievement marks a pivotal step toward improving health and environmental conditions within the camps. Al-Manal Association expressed its deep gratitude to Al-Aqsa Association for its generous support and steadfast commitment to the Palestinian people during these challenging times.
In this context, Al-Manal Association emphasized that the well represents a preparatory phase for the establishment of a water desalination plant, currently being arranged in cooperation with the Saudi Center for Culture and Development under a signed partnership agreement. The plant holds strategic importance as it will serve the nearby displaced camps, which rely heavily on water resources and filling projects managed by the association in collaboration with its partners.
Over the past period, several meetings were held between a delegation from the Saudi Center, led by Dr. Essam Abu Khleil, and Al-Manal Association’s management, represented by Mr. Mahmoud Abu Musbah, to discuss the details of the desalination plant and joint implementation mechanisms, ensuring the sustainability of water resources and meeting the needs of thousands of displaced people.
